At a month, they are active, playful and getting teeth. They may start eating puppy food, but mother's milk is still the key food in their diet.

At 6 weeks they may seem ready to go to a new home, but they still need time with their mom.
They also have a lot to learn yet about being a dog. Things like: how to fetch, and play tug, and how to steal Dad's toy, and how to shake after a bath. They also learn where they fit into the pack.
