WELCOME TO MAGGIE'S BLOG
WELCOME TO MAGGIE'S BLOG
February 25th, 2008
I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. No, I mean, really, on the wrong side of the bed.
Pebbles was in my spot on the pillow next to Pam's head and that just isn't right. Not even sort of okay. I
had to give Pebbles my most serious evil eye and that low quiet growl humans can hardly hear. You
know the one...so did Pebbles. She got off the bed.
Pebbles is such a pain. I will never know why Pam went and got her. I mean, wasn't I enough?
Then as soon as I got all comfortable, in my special spot that Pebbles had certainly kept warm, Elmo,
bless his tail, had to jump up on the bed and kiss Pam until she made us all go outside. I didn't even
need to go out but she made me. Elmo is the love of my life and all, but he can be as annoying as that
strumpet, Pebbles!. He didn't even need to pee, he just wanted to go talk to Sarge and Dock on the
other side of the fence.
Now, Sarge is okay, he's big and kind of clumsy, but that Doc, nummy, nummy, he has a Sinatra voice
when he talks dirty to me. I just love it when he howls my name. Of course then we all have to go back in
our houses because humans can't speak dog for some reason and they think we are being noisy.
Noisy! Talk about noisy. Have you ever tried to take a nap when the TV is on and the computer is
making clicky sounds, the fridge is humming, and the car next door has its radio on, and the car across
the street is warming up in the morning. My good Kitty Patutity people, give my pretty little ears a break.
And while I'm at it, why is it that we dogs have to learn human language and they don't even try to learn
basic dog. I can understand not learning Hound, with their long vowels and rolling r's, very difficult to
master, but Terrier is very simple really.
